MPF Conservation restores, conserves, and preserves upholstered objects in their studio in Portland Oregon; this page documents custom slipcovers made for our upholstered objects.
A ballerina with a love of pink had us create an environment she loved in the sitting room of her George III replica home, shown below and right. Fitted slipcovers, draperies and pillows were all created by MPF Conservation.

Cotton Twill Wingback Slipcovers
Our clients raised Labrador retrievers and needed strong cleanable slipcovers to protect their newly upholstered wingbacks. Cotton twill with gingham trim.

Western Style Ranch Slipcovers
Fitted slipcovers to protect the antique needlepoint seats for a ranch in Southern Oregon. Ranch-hands regularly come in for meetings and meals and as it is a working ranch they may have dirt on their jeans. The slips needed to be washed regularly. We added a slight western flair with decorative cleats which also assisted the ease of removing them to wash.

Art Deco Sofa and Chairs
Fitted slips with a high level of detail so they are almost unnoticeable were created to protect the arms on the Art Deco sofa and matching chairs, above and below.
Visit these pages to see the sofa or the chairs: Sofas and Loveseats, and Overstuffed Chairs.

The chairs, above, were upholstered in varying colors of the same fabric.

Fitted slips for the arms and back on two custom built Art Deco chairs, above, detailed on Overstuffed Chairs; pillows to match.

Above, two fitted slips: snug fit for a 1970’s chair on the left, compared to a more relaxed slip on the right chair.
