Historic Hanley Farm, established in 1857, is a working farm just outside of downtown Jacksonville Oregon, owned and operated by the Southern Oregon Historical Society (SOHS). MPFC was asked to assess the farm house walls and ceilings.
Mary Hanley, one of SOHS’s founders, gifted the farm to the historical society in 1982. Hanley Farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites and was recently added to the Oregon Heritage Women’s History Project Significant Site Listing.

Hanley Farm’s goal is to preserve the history of the people of the Rogue Valley and the agricultural development of farming methods which are ecologically sustainable.
The farm is available for tours: visit their website for contact information. Private tours are available if scheduled in advance. There is a minimum cost and a maximum number of individuals that can tour at any one time.
